With almost 30 years
experience in drumming, Richard Ruddle is well versed in a wide
range of drumming styles, including: traditional rudimental,
drum and bugle corps, and orchestral. He has been giving lessons
for over five years and his students have gone on to pursue
professional musical endeavors including studying percussion
at the Shenandoah Conservatory of Music and performing with
the Army’s prestigious 3d Infantry Old Guard Fife and
Drum Corps. Richard’s approach to all styles of drumming
and percussive arts begins with a concrete foundation in the
traditional rudimental style. His instruction is serious, positive,
and dedicated.
Richard is currently
the musical director of Independence Fifes and Drums, a colonial
American fife and drum musical ensemble in Warrenton, VA.

Experience
In addition to the
performance experience listed above, Richard has instructed
in various musical groups and camps, and has lent expertise
in the production of audio, video, and web production dealing
with the art of drumming. |
