Learning
to play drums is an exciting, fun, and rewarding experience!
Beginner drum students will learn a solid program of
reading, music theory as well as performing on both
snare and a mallet keyboard instrument. This program
is a perfect solution for meeting homeschool music requirements.
Lessons are 30 minutes in duration.
Prerequisites:

Building
upon instrumental studies given in schools is an important
part and necessary path in developing musical performance.
Intermediate and advanced lessons concentrates on warm-ups,
technique, form, reading and performance in general.
Intermediate and advanced lessons are 45 minutes in
length.
Prerequisites:
Ability to read music, performance in an ensemble or
similar experience. |

Lessons are scheduled
in blocks of nine weeks. The first eight weeks of instruction is
paid for with the ninth week held in reserve for unforeseen absences
or weather cancellations. Should you need to miss a lesson for personal
reasons or inclement weather, the lesson will be made up in the
9th week of instruction. If no absences have occurred during the
eight week period, the ninth week is considered an extra free lesson!
Instruction is one on
one and concentrates on technique, form, reading and performance.
Students will be given material to work on each week and are expected
to come prepared. It is also suggested and encouraged to take notes
each week so have a pencil and notebook handy!
Fees
Instructional fees are
as follows:
- Beginner Drum Lessons
- $160.00 ($20.00 per lesson)
- Intermediate and Advanced
Studies - $240.00 ($30.00 per lesson)
Payment is due on or
before the first lesson. Fees may also be paid in two installments.
This payment is non-refundable after the first week of instruction.
Payment can be made by cash, check, or by credit card online securly
via Paypal on the Payments page.
Suitable drum sticks
and practice pad are required for all instruction. Beginning drum
students will be required to purchase a student level practice kit
which includes a practice pad, bells, and stand.
Closings
We follow the public
school closing policy in times of inclement weather. Any more than
one absence can not be made up and there are no refunds for missed
lessons. Please let me know in advance if you will be absent.
Availability
For future sessions,
existing students are given priority for registration. After the
announced pre-registration period, registration will be opened up
to those on the waiting list and then the public in general. |
